Course Description

This course is designed to provide dental professionals with a comprehensive understanding of digital workflows for implant prosthetic rehabilitation, from second-stage implant surgery to final restoration.

Participants will explore the integration of intraoral scanning (IOS), scan bodies, and photogrammetry to improve accuracy, efficiency, and predictability in implant restorative procedures. The course will emphasize practical techniques for capturing implant positions, optimizing digital impressions, communicating with dental laboratories, and streamlining the fabrication and delivery of implant-supported prostheses. The entire spectrum of single teeth to complex full arch registration will be elaborated

Through clinical examples and step-by-step digital workflows, participants will gain the knowledge necessary to incorporate modern digital technologies into everyday implant restorative practice and minimize chair side time.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

1.    Digital Implant Workflow: Understand the steps from Stage II surgery to final prosthesis delivery.

2.    Scan Bodies: Utilize implant scan bodies to accurately capture implant positions for prosthetic design.

3.    Intraoral Scanning (IOS): Apply digital scanning techniques for single-unit, multiple-implant, and full-arch restorations.

4.    Photogrammetry: Understand and utilize photogrammetry for accurate implant position capture in full-arch rehabilitation.

5.    Digital Prosthetic Design: Integrate digital impressions with CAD/CAM technology and laboratory workflows.

6.    Final Restoration: Review prosthetic verification, fit assessment, and delivery protocols.

7.    Clinical Applications: Identify common digital workflow challenges and strategies to improve restorative outcomes.
