About
Dr. Shea Tolbert was born in North Carolina at Cherry Point Marine Corps Base, where his father was serving in the military. Most of his childhood was spent in Lenoir, NC. He later moved to South Carolina and graduated from Easley High School.
Dr. Tolbert attended Clemson University as part of the Honors College and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, where he received the American Academy of Implant Dentistry award for excellence in surgical and restorative implant dentistry.
He went on to complete the prestigious University of Florida Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program, which collaborates with internationally renowned training programs including The Dawson Academy and The Pankey Institute. He continues his passion for dentistry by completing numerous advanced continuing education courses each year.
Dr. Tolbert focuses on comprehensive treatment, smile design aesthetics, cosmetic orthodontics, CAD/CAM digital dentistry, and surgical implant dentistry. He also serves as a faculty member at MUSC, trains dental students at the Greenville Free Medical Clinic, and volunteers at Dentistry from the Heart outreach events.
While attending Clemson, he met his wife, Jennifer Hoeben Tolbert. They married in 2007 and have two children, Cayman and Cohen. In their free time, the Tolberts enjoy Clemson sporting events, golf, travel, and time with family and friends.
